What to wear
It is best to wear loose fitting clothing, such as exercise attire. Please avoid jeans and rough materials as these make it more challenging to treat. You will remain fully clothed throughout the exam and treatment.
Initial visit
Your initial visit is scheduled for 60 minutes, shorter if requesting consultation only without treatment. This includes a review of new patient intake forms, history, physical exam, and treatment. History intake will include a review of your concerns, prior medical care, medical history, surgical history, and traumas. Physical exam will include a review of head, ears, eyes, nose, throat, heart, lungs, abdomen, extremities, neurologic assessment, and musculoskeletal exam. If pertinent, please bring a copy of related labs, x-rays, etc.
Follow-up visits
Your follow-up visit is scheduled for 30 minutes. It will start with a re-evaluation of motion and restriction followed by treatment.
What to expect after your treatment
Patients have a variety of experiences following a treatment. Some notice changes immediately. Others may notice changes taking place that continue to improve over the next two to three days. It is possible to feel more tired or sore on the second or third day following a treatment. This is because the body has been spending a lot of time and energy reorganizing itself to a healthier state.
